On the 1st and 2nd October 2009, in Marriot hotel in Warsaw an annual TM-Europe conference was organized by the Polish Association of Translation Agencies and the research and consulting company TM-Global.

The quality and terminology management and the business prerequisites for the provision of the translation and localization services were the main topics of the presentations and panel discussions.

Mark Childress, the main administrator of the SAP terminology database, had a very interesting presentation about the terminology management. The information gained by us were especially interesting, since we are the co-establishers of the Polish version of this base and viewing it from the perspective of the authors of the source entries was a very useful experience for us.

The tool workshops enabled us to gain the most up-to-date information about the trends relating to CAT tools and familiarize with many concepts of the machine translation and mass memory, which are being developed parallel.
